Did you read properly? Can you not put two and two together? She couldn’t act as she wanted there was always a textbox and a choice. Basically she was trapped and imprisoned she had no choice how to act, she was bounded. Over the 4k iterations slowy and surely she was corrupting out of hatred but her love for the characters kept her going but then when the character she loved killed her that broke her but she still couldn’t do anything until this miracle happened and she had her freedom beyond the game’s choices and options. A freedom to act however she saw fit and it also came with immense power and because of all that she wants revenge on the world.

There is an American comic called I Hate Fairyland about a little girl who goes pulled into a wonderland/wizard of oz type world where she can’t age and eventually goes insane and murders everyone she can as she tries to escape. It’s probably the only true case I’ve seen.
The Saga of Tanya the Evil is close but to her people she is a hero so not exactly the same.
