I don’t think it’s a cultural thing but more it’s her perception of surgery? She is a shy and quiet girl so she feels ashamed and afraid how her loved one will react. I hope ML will help her to overcome it😔

Feeling ashamed, desperated, anger, disappointment, resentment & all bad feelings for doing sacrifice in the name of love, yet it was not. It’s just a scam.
Remember the FL came from a struggling family & lives alone. To achieve her job position now, she has to work hard. She thought she met a nice man & family, yet they were not. Also he & his all families are still around her. Shamefully, they did conspiracy by being silent when she had donor surgery. For Asians, family is everything & the bounding is very close.
I don’t think being a organ donor is the problem… But knowing what I know about the beauty culture of East Asia, scares are probably frowned upon… And mainly she is ashamed of the fact she got scammed so bad… And telling him will also mean she admits to her stupidity of giving away so much in the name of love… And so I think she is still not ready to face all those facts…
Okay, I made it this far with this story because I find it cute, but I’m clearly missing something from a cultural standpoint… why is it such a drama the issue with her surgery? Being an organ donor is a bad thing in Korea? I don’t understand why she is so secretive about it, or why is the CEO so surprised when the doctor explained it. If anyone knows, I’d like to understand this better! Thanks!
