@paprika_g: There was no reason not to like him in the first place as he hasn’t even done anything to be hated for. Him having a crush on her and hanging out with her at the festival does not justify any dislikes towards him. He has not shown his feelings to her nor has he tried to intervene in their relationship. He’s been honest from the very start and he’s being honest to the ML even now.
