If I remember correctly, in the novel she was even worse. She felt jealous towards Liontel. She didn’t stop Philip when she knew he spread the plague and then imprisoned Liontel because he wanted to marry her. gag me with a spoon I dont want to hear her sob story, what does she need an apology for? she should be the one apologizing. This chapter does nothing but confirm she’s a selfish idiot even now and philip was right, she is stupid. How can she blame Liontel for not saving her when she gave her back light powers and Ser herself messed that up because she was tricked AGAIN by a couple of sappy words from the same scum. Ser’s version of what happened really removes the jealousy towards Liontel and seems distorted. I remember the chapter of her and philp coming back together for Lakshoul’s funeral acting like they didn’t spread a plague and murder him, she said they had been together that entire time but now she’s saying he abandoned her? (I’ll probably go reread and see exactly what she said) Anyways her recap makes it seem like she loved Liontel so much and that was her only friend but she’s the one that never treated Liontel properly as a friend. If you still sympathize with Ser at this point you’re a lost cause.

“Goddess of light” my ass. Ser is easily one of the worst characters I’ve read in a manhwa and definitely undeserving of that title. This backstory doesn’t redeem her in the slightest. If anything, it makes what she did worse. She’s a horrible “friend” and utterly selfish and self-absorbed. Completely undeserving of forgiveness!
