I like thats she’s happy with the way things is but as a romance novel author isn’t she a little too dense?? Also if she’s planning to not die in her own novel then isn’t she already bending the plot meaning its not use to try to get siegren to meet with eunice.
there are totally stories where protags are overly obsessed with the main plot of the novel but she’s not really? she’s just happy with the plot as it is, sans the misery and death, and she’s happy to live her life out without it. she’s not agonizing over “oh i really want abel as a dad!” or “omg i love siegren so much!”, she thinks of them as “boss” and “my baby child” respectively :/
ya’ll didn’t spent any time actually getting to understand fiona’s personality and what she actually cares about :/ if she wanted abels daddy powers but felt “oh no! he could never care about me! cuz the og plot!” that would be different. on the contrary, she’s lived through five years of his tsundere bullshit and she’s clearly the sort of person who needs a persons emotions spelled out to her clearly. ugghhh… there are things to criticize about fiona, but i hard think her just not being that invested in these characters are really it :/

also why the hell would she want to be adopted by fucking abel? dude, from her perspective, the only reason he’s ever been kind to her is because she was a useful child soldier. in her first interactions with him, he tried to kick her out when she had nowhere to go and in the second one he told her that if she wasnt useful, he’d leave her to die. she doesnt have any reason to want this asshole as a father. also, when it became clear that she viewed their relationship as transactional, he didnt do anything to dissuade her from that believe. instead of saying to her when she was thirteen “hey, i’d like to adopt you”, he said “go handle some criminals for me”. yes, there was a hidden meaning to his actions, but how the fuck is she supposed to know that. frankly, if i was her, even if i understood the hidden meaning i’d still be like “pffff fat fucking chance that im going to let this creep be my dad” because he cant fucking communicate and frankly, its clear that the only reason he grew to care about her is because she’s a useful soldier. im just saying, why the hell would she want him as a dad? frankly, i dont like abel because he’s so happy and willing to threaten to kill literal children. fuck that guy. yeah, he’s a tsundere, but he’s also a giant fucking asshole.
from her perspective, he’s just her boss. if your boss said “hey i wanna adopt you” would you jump at the opportunity? :/ c’mon guys, just cuz you simp over abel doesnt mean she has to
why change the story? she clearly likes the story (to some extent). she wants her two protags to fall in love and to live peacefully away from the plot pfff the only things she doesnt like about the story is that people suffered because of the words she wrote but aside from that, she’s totally happy to let the story go on as planned so long as she doesnt die and since she has no intention of becoming a villain, she’s unlikely to die lol
she’s not currently in love with him, she still views him like a younger brother or a child, so why the hell would she want to change the plot?
