As a writer myself, I am ashamed of what the author did with the story. It could be more acceptable if such misunderstanding happened sooner (though I still hate such cheap plot devices), but after SEVEN YEARS?? It makes absolutely no sense! It’s so ridiculous I don’t know what to say. This kind of tactic should be called “how to ruin your story 101”. And to think the story was progressing so well for a while …. disappointment is an understatement ?
