Kinda really shows the ogfl’s naivity. Since the liswin family was stated to be one to remain neutral, not participating in the antics of the aristicrats, but also said to be a family very stern on their moral position. Unfortunately it seems Elisha never learned that she can’t always base on a person on what others say, that she shouldn’t judge a person before meeting them. Sure, sometimes it’s valid to judge someone as such, but there has to also be evidence other than rumor as to why judge someone as bad. While there was the mass poisoning incident, I doubt the aristicrats let it be known that it was cuz they tried to poison the duchess, so others probably just see the incident as the chades punishing people for not reason other than just not liking them, as a child whim. And plus she hangs out the crown prince who is too close minded to try to question why his father is so close to the chades other than fear. A necessary evil is needed at times, the emperor has to maintain the look of a good ruler and so the chades take on the dirty work for him and take on the bad rep that the emperor would have had if he did these things himself.
