Oh no, I’m getting the feeling this is once again a near-death-experience where the female lead is told that she was the “original” character (Leah in this case) all along… Lately the stories about the character’s souls having been sent to our modern world became popular, which is supposed to explain why she was able to read a novel etc. there about this world…
I actually hate this trope; especially when the original character was a stupid, selfish and even unethical “villainess”, while the current personality of the same person is totally nice and kind 🙁
you see now why death isn’t always the answer for bastards like this duke?
he dies too easily… should have been tortured to death for years first before killing
for some deep brutal criminals… death is only a way out not punishment
