@Cutesy_fox threatening is ok but using his mother was not okay especially when you realize ml didn’t belittle her with bad intention and he wanted no connection left behind before going to war where there’s no guarantee to survive. He wanted to break up because he wasn’t sure he would survive and didn’t want fl to wait so he said it harshly. And his remarks on “weak people clinging to each other won’t do any good” shows that he sees himself and her on same level aka he sees both himself and her as weak.
