Sooo… this male lead “Lord Alex” was super close by when Sirius and the female lead were having a picnic (close enough to listening in), but when the monster showed up all of a sudden, good Lord Alex didn’t use his oh-so-cool fire magic immediately.
Instead, the male lead just followed when Sirius and the heroine ran away desperately, until the boy tripped and fell; and then the male lead even waited a bit longer just to watch how the female lead shielded the boy and was ready to be mangled?
Now the male lead audaciously claimed he was there in order to “protect” them both – but nobody ever questions why he took so much time to intervene?
