Former duchess (ML mother) was an abusive bitch towards servants and ML she beat the mother to dead who was send to north ahead of Elle(sheriel)…..before this Elle and ML where actually very much lovey dovey as we see now….bitch Elle came to be after that and relation went sour….sperm donor was going bankrupt and was gonna sell Elle to an old greaseball but ML saved her wich is the forced marriage wich he hides(he did not know of the real identity till later)

So premise is Elle hated ML cause he is the son of her mothers murderer…..

So gonna have to wait and see what will get changed heck there 2 different version of novel i only read 1 so dunno if they gonna follow that or if the other version was different to start with
