Pope isn’t bad as you say but I think he is probably a bad guy and I’m sure temple slave system still working there because ml was enslaved there and it was said that temple save system abolished century before.
Ok so hear me out.. I think the crown prince is the son of the nanny and ml is the real son of emperor (the real crown prince) and the nanny switched them so that her son’s misfortune could become the ml’s misfortune and the temple head is the mastermind behind all this scheme.
@Yapyapyap yeah I think you’re right but in my opinion it seems the pope isn’t a bad person and as they said he remembers his past life , he might have met Calad in his past life and the pope seems to protect the ML and if he was evil he would’ve already taken control of the continent as they mentioned that the religion is absolute in here . Not to forget the fact he was able to prevent the ML from being fired by just a request to the emperor.
I have a theory that the previous owners of the demonic sword might’ve gone berserk because they weren’t chosen by the sword itself. Or the previous owner was the ML and he went berserk after the FL died in their previous life. And also maybe the switching of the crown prince wasn’t out of jealousy but rather the working of the heretics.
