If she was that down on money, she should’ve sold the rest of her clothing and kept one pair. Not only that, she could’ve used some of the money to buy clothes/disguises for the children. In case someone around town is within Renke’s inner circle and happens to recognize them in their rags for clothes. Like a hat, or a cloak perhaps?
Despite taking all that time to gather resources to run away, it doesn’t sound like she prepared as efficiently as she claimed.
She’s supposed to not have enough money for food but the author drew her with 2 different outfits in one chapter and with a giant expensive-looking gemstone ?

I was wondering why she didn’t buy them some new clothes the moment they ran away since it was super easy to recognize them from miles away looking like that! She was still in her maid’s outfit as well! So unpractical and unrealistic. This sure is due to the artist’s lack of insight and experience.
Imma assume these were pre-existing outfits bought by the owner of the body pre-isekai, and that like a modern person she brought her clothes and belongings but didn’t think ‘yknow I could prolly sell the dresses and accessories” like we even have her fessing up at the jewelry store that she can’t identify a garnet. She prolly assumes her jewelry is all costume junk.

Huh,it really happened most of the time..when a transmigrated person/soul tried to follow the original story or tried to reverse it,they don’t realize that the story involves them as well…like this story,she want Roland to avoid duke Torres as possible as it can be..but she didn’t realize that the story possibly change the time she came to that world..
