Honestly, looking back on it, Killian is jealous of Lexion and makes shitty choices because of that, but towards the girls, he seems more like someone who doesn’t know how to interact with them and just wants them to be on his side. I can’t imagine how painful it’d be having to watch all my peers laugh together in my own house with someone who has everything I want and is a threat to the only thing I have left (his right to become an heir.) Even here, Killian tries to join them and asks why his brother deserves their attention, desperately clinging to the answer given. In response, FL brings up his father to threaten him, refuses to let him lower the tension, insults him repeatedly, then says the only thing he knows how to do is be a bully, the exact thing he hasn’t done since he apologized. I won’t say Elena deserves to be hit here, but I will say there isn’t much she could’ve said to deserve it more.
Sorry if you liked FL, but I’m now here hoping that Killian is allowed to fix himself, rather than being completely destroyed by FL’s grudge. Poor kid needs someone in his corner. Wild how fast the victim became the aggressor here. (Don’t boo me, I’m right.)
I’m unsure if you’re projecting onto him but Killian had shown no redeemable qualities to any of the three children. He had shown nothing but aggressiveness, of course, they would be on guard. If someone who had been nothing but hostile suddenly tried to cower and cling to you, who wouldn’t be put off and suspicious?
His past and his insecurities are warranted, they explain his actions but they don’t excuse the actions his behaviour bore then on.
Either you forget that they’re ALL children here and no adult is properly mediating the situation (which honestly should be the biggest ones to blame) or you simply don’t understand how to empathise to others besides those who you can relate to lol.
