Actually when I first started my period. Cramps weren’t that but my period was super irregular, I’d bleed heavily for like 2 weeks and eventually cramps got so bad I really felt like I couldn’t move for the first 2 days. Then in college, I was introduced to birth control pills. Then suddenly my period finally became more regular, lighter, and no pain whatsoever. Many many many years later, even when I’m off pills. My periods stayed normal. So sometimes your body is just outta whack and needs some help. Hahah. End of my long TMI post
If your menstrual cramps are so bad you find yourself unable to function, or the bleeding is so heavy you’re switching pads more often than is typical – talk toy your doctor.
People really don’t like to talk about these things – but you could have PCOS or an underlying health issue.
