Yes, this story is rather simple and feels also a bit typical (basically because so many stepmother-isekai manhwas already exist), but I for my part like calm and coherent stories like this one that feature a composed hard-working female lead with a clear plan, are not only about the main couple all the time but have a family theme instead with several family members (children and teenagers in this case) who play important parts, also with a not-so-cliché male lead, and even a bit of magic on top.
Sure, the male lead harbors a bit of distrust, is taciturn and also a masterful swordfighter, but at least he’s not your everyday dark-haired emo duke, doesn’t suddenly threaten the female lead’s life or something, and he’s also not already the husband of the original woman that the transmigrator has possessed, so luckily the female lead does not need to aim for divorce (which we all know rarely ever succeeds anyways, except if the husband is absolute scum).
I appreciate that the storyline has a logical flow without weirdly forced events and does not consist of just one trope after another, like so many other isekais do. Sure, it has some sad parts (mainly memories and once a kidnapping of the young teenage daughter happens), but even then it never gets overdramatical and the dark scenes end quickly.
