I have never seen a FL who just run away to live in the woods the moment she realises she’s a villainess hated by her fiancee and will meet misfortune in the future. Why these FLs are all same annoying wants boring ahh contract marriage with a bastard who doesn’t even likes her.
while i think it would be immensely entertaining for a protagonist to just drop everything and live in the wilderness and i very much want to read a manhwa where that happens, the reason i would find it entertaining is prolly the same reason it doesnt generally happen: it’s a deeply impractical idea. if i ran into the wilderness right now with nothing but the clothes on my back and few valuables, i dont really have a strong chance of survival in the long term. man vs nature doesnt generally favor man when it’s just one guy lol.
but yeas i 100% want to see a protag who does not care and is totally willing to role those odds lmfao. similar things could be said for protags that run away into a random village. if you’re a high profile individual (say, a princess or a duke’s daughter or whatever else is common here) people might be looking for you and turn you in, similarly, people might recognize you and decide you look like good ransom.
i definitely wanna see a protag who is confident in their abilities to survive in a completely different world homeless, penniless, and living as a high-risk individual with 0 protection. that sounds like a fucking badass story to read. but im not really gonna sit here and say the characters who understand the realities of being un-housed are stupid for not wanting to die to the elements.
(all that to say, there are absolutely stories about characters who DO have better opportunities to run away and dont take them, which can be bothersome at times, but tbh, not really the biggest nitpick i have with these stories lol, your nitpick is valid too, vague misogyny aside, but i thought i’d nitpick your nitpick bc i have no life and i am a loser lmfao)
