For an outsider it’s easy to say she’s being stupid, she also probably knows that she’s being stupid, but still can’t help but crack and give in, give him a chance. They’ve been together for a long time, it’s difficult to separate completely, specially when he’s showing remorse, and it’s not like he cheated or did anything extreme, he neglected her but now is showing he’s willing to change.

I really don’t understand when authors make the FLs change their minds within seconds. She is a strong woman who was firm on her stance of wanting nothing to do with him all this time (she isn’t even truly in love with him anymore) and just because he was on his knees crying and saying a simple “I’m sorry” she turns into a blushing maid who instantly forgives everything he did and said to her and hugs him – she even had a flashback where he treated her horribly right in the middle of it!
I know people can get stupid when feelings are involved but this narrative of rejection and acceptance within seconds is idiotic.
