The story failed to deliver every promise it made at the start. This is how you betray your readers and make them hate your work for good. Even ChatGPT can write a better story with higher stakes, a proper antagonist and without relying on misunderstandings to keep the readers engaged.
I read the novel, the empress trick her father into believing that they are gonna work together and bla bla bla. In the end everything was a trap that the empress and her brother set up for their father, who ends up dying. There you go
