The comment section is making my brain hurt first of all the emperor which is the ML thinks FL doesn’t like him,reason for why the contract marriage and may I remind you the reason for this marriage is because of Theor not because she love him sure she does love him at some point but the very reason is Theor.And the reason for why she needs to think that they need to sleep together it’s because they are literally EMPEROR AND EMPRESS it’s more or like their duty,and this is a historical manhwa,HISTORICAL after the marriage their supposed to sleep together but since ML is a gentleman he slept at the couch like most manhwa’s. Now why did he sleep at the couch and not just get another room? You may ask,they are living at the IMPERIAL PALACE which is a literal fucking battle ground any of your movements are watched by everyone and if somehow one of the nosy maids or guards or butlers even spies, know that the Emperor is sleeping at another room, a rumor will circulate which will become troublesome that may lead to people thinking that ML does not care about FL and etc.And in my opinion I think the author did a very good job at patching up the story together and if you just somehow understand the flow of the story it actually all makes sense.🙂
