I really wish she could just be straight up with him. Just say “Your majesty threw me away after ruining me for any decent men to take interest in (because back then if he had seggs with her she had NO chance at a remarriage whereas if he hadn’t she could annul the marriage since virginity was highly valued) and caused me to almost want to kill myself because of the embarrassment and the cruelty that I had to face alone. You KNEW it would hurt me and still you did it. You’ve been a selfish son of a b+tch this whole time and I hate you so much my blood boils just looking at you” and then she would beat the Fck outta him and run away to live happily ever after the end.
The issue has been her father has ALWAYS been behind the troubles in her life. I think this is where that will come to life and make it clear that the divorce even was her father’s fault since if she had a child by him her father would supplant ML with his grandchild and use poor theor as a puppet. It was slightly awkwardly translated at the beginning but it did make out that the divorce was the only way ML could protect her because being his wife would not have made her immune to her father’s guilt and machinations by this kingdom’s laws. Basically insurrection is death with guilt by association. Now did he do it like an absolute unbearable asshole? YES. Does our ML have terminal poor communication skills? Also yes. But is ALL of this FL’s absolute shitbag father at the heart of it? YUP.
