I feel for her since I tried so hard as a child to be a “perfect daughter” for my father, and well he didn’t inflict physical injuries the scars in my psyche and soul are there…. thanks to my mother loving me regardless of how good I was I a well adjusted adult, yet it took me years and therapy to let go of my need to be “perfect” for other men and seek their approval.
