To all the people who commented ” just tell him “, it must be easy for you to say when we are all readers we think it’s easier for her to tell everyone about her past about how she got groomed by her own brother, forced to watch her bird dying to a turtle, and also getting beaten not to mention that her past life is absolutely horrible. It’s hard to open up to people and just tell them that your brother did that don’t you think? not to mention everyone loves the brother a lot. It’s hard to open up to everybody when everyone hates you. ( apart from the people who love her of course. ) she never opened up in her past life and her present life she’s scared of the consequences. And a lot of people think she’s ” cringy” because she wants to survive. If you guys don’t get it, She’s faking her happiness because she doesn’t want the bird thingy to happen again. She’s scared of her brother and what he will do to her.

I know friends, family and even myself who has ever kept the truth from someone.
As we are the readers, we know and believe ML to be a good person who actually likes her.
But tell me honestly, if you are ever in a situation with someone whom you believe will possibly randomly go berserk and choose to do something that goes against your benefits, will you still be so quick to tell them everything?
Not to mention that FL has been continuously hurt and traumatised in not just this life, but even her past life.
Meaning since she was born till now, almost every human she knows of is out to hurt or kill her.
So even if ML one day tells her that he cares for her, it would be extremely hard for her to believe that it is true unless he has shown her countless actions that he has taken for her – which he is doing now so we just need to be patient and slowly allow FL to realize that there are good people in the world like ML and his sister, and give her time to heal her traumas so she believes that she deserves to be treated well too.

As someone who has the same mental blocks as the FL, it’s not as easy as “Just tell someone the truth. Tell them how you really feel and think about your situation”. I once tried to talk to my parents openly about things and I froze in genuine fear, became speechless, started sweating and hyperventilating and almost fainted. They had to work me out of my fear that was overtaking my body and I had to be taken out of the house and everything. I still have not spoken about anything to anyone, not even typing it out or saying it to a stranger. It’s almost like I have a mental switch where I am so strongly overcome by my feelings of fear and panic that my body shuts down to protect me. I disassociate to the extreme and none of it is of my own will. I want to let it out but it’s taking time to work through. Slowly I’m working on my mental health and I can see I’m closer to being able to tell someone privately what I need/want to say has happened to me. I think the FL will get to say the truth when she’s able to.

How can he protect you if you keep on lying like that? Even in real life I don’t dare act the way you do. I don’t care if they will leave mw after I tell them everything that happened to me… Cause that’s the point of my honesty. I tell them I’m abused if they can’t accept that they are free to leave but luckily they never turn their back at me. They know my past and accepted me… They say they were just glad I was honest to them. You can never have a peaceful life if you never let go of your burden. If you don’t have a friend to talk to tell your husband. If you keep everything on your own you’ll soon explode like a time bomb
