Ruby married Izek in order to maintain a kingdom relationship with Pope (Ruby’s father), which, from the start, their relationship was not good. This is a political marriage, and yall expect Izek to care deeply and love ruby right away? and neither ruby nor Izek cant communicate. Izek don’t know the reason what and why Ruby could be that broken.

Ruby’s wounds are made very superficial in this story, yet Izek’s and his sister’s wounds are just passing through. So I don’t think readers will know the pain of the Omerta’s Sibling. Would u imagine life being a Ruby or Izek? both of their lives are very painful. But y’all are picky abt someone’s pain.

nope not reallyyy. but the author very much took inspiration from the real Borgias in terms of the family of the FL (Cesare Borgia and Lucrezia Borgia were said to have had incestuous relations, but there’s no historical proof and it was based from a rumor made by Lucrezia’s first husband who was basically ousted from the marriage by her father and brother because he wasn’t useful to them in their power struggle). here, they’re not related (stepbrother what are you doin–) and it’s probably used more as a plot device to explain her behavior from the abuse and then having been married off to Izek
