Ruby married Izek in order to maintain a kingdom relationship with Pope (Ruby’s father), which, from the start, their relationship was not good. This is a political marriage, and yall expect Izek to care deeply and love ruby right away? and neither ruby nor Izek cant communicate. Izek don’t know the reason what and why Ruby could be that broken.

Ruby’s wounds are made very superficial in this story, yet Izek’s and his sister’s wounds are just passing through. So I don’t think readers will know the pain of the Omerta’s Sibling.
