i think it’s unfair how people are saying “well know Izek is suddenly smart enough to understand” he barely knows her, how is he supposed to understand straight away how she feels since she doesn’t tell him anything. This is something I like about this novel, he doesn’t like her straight away unlike most where the Ml somehow understands the Fl feelings straight away. Imagine being shoved into a marriage where you haven’t even seen your sudden partner before, no way are you going to like them. Izek has now spent time with Ruby, he is grown to like her and is starting to understand her better. He doesn’t know the full picture, he finds out during the rest of the story, but he wants to find her because he cares about her and wants to find out more about what troubles she faces.
