She’s lived through systematic abuse for 2 lifetimes and was physically attacked by that guy. There’s a lot of shame and self-blame when you’re abused from a young age. A lot of times when the persons abusing you have a higher standing or good reputation then if you say anything then others either think you’re a liar or they don’t care and things just get worse for you. After a time you’re conditioned not to say anything at all and just feel shame. She’s not pathetic, she’s a victim of 2 lifetimes of abuse.
I’m sorry but you probably never heard about social phobia and insecurities, she represent this so much because it’s not everyone who can just simply talk to people so say so many bad thing about you, just look at her reaction just listening to them she’s literally having a panic attack and even having a nose bleed, so for her and a lot of people being “pathetic” for not having the courage to respond those thing is the only way to not get way more hurt (sorry for the english)
