As someone who has read books regarding step siblings ending up together [Eyes on Me by Sara Cate [she was 8 and he was 21 [age gap was a common theme in the series]] and For the Fans [they were both in high school] by Nyla K (both adult, first one regarding kinks)], I’m not against the pairing. However, Cesare is just so not it for me. I normally like the obsessive ML but Cesare is so creepy about it and how he treated Ruby before the story even started just makes it worse. Need I remind regarding the riding crop incident? Yeah, no. I’m usually fine with step siblings but not in this case
Since the first episode ruby told us that their wasn’t blood relatives and then they acted like they were. I don’t get it, It was just my imagination? Because everyone in the comments are talking like there was some kind of incest when for me it was clear that she wasn’t his real sister since the begging.
he still treated her as his sister and they kept family dynamics for years. they might not be related but their relationship is still that of at least adoptive siblings
I am guessing this is tossed in to overwrite the blood related incest, but like he is still a trash man who abused his sister so like, don’t need this sympathetic arc.
I don’t know why we’re suddenly getting backstory exposition… I could literally not care less about Ceasar. He’s irredeemable and a disgusting person. This wasn’t in the novel either, so not sure why the artist decided to add it in.
I don’t think there’ll be any sort of redemption arc, but perhaps a little backstory for the purpose of detailing why Ceasar is of such terrible character.

the way he’s acting like an innocent wounded puppy is ridonkalous

Backstory?
Even if he was living a terrible life ,
What he did to our Ruby will never change.

I don’t particularly look forward to a redemption arc 😬
