It is an entirely reasonable expectation to hope that the character we follow can be brave, heroic or inspiring; whether we can relate to her experiences need not be essential to this.
We get to express this opinion if character frustrates us, just as you get to express your opinion freely, and us not having been through traumatic experience does not invalidate our opinions on a CHARACTER IN A BOOK… (just want to stress that she’s NOT REAL, and calling her an idiot is fine.)

Honestly, I find it quite annoying that she can’t do anything, she doesn’t rebel…her trauma surpasses the fear of losing hwr loved ones.I think she’s a cowardly person, she doesn’t ask for help, she just suffers! Her cowardice will lead to the suffering of others… wake up chick!! open your damn mouth! she, on the other hand, doesn’t even trust the man who says he loves her… poor ML

I imagine the author wants to convey how helpless Ruby feels and all, but as a reader it’s frustrating as hell to see her actively reject the idea of improving her own situation over and over.
I want to see the main character achieve things with her own power; like Common Isekai or Death is the only Ending. Those two went from rock bottom and earned their own victories; Ruby does nothing…
