I have the feeling that the author thought it would be “funny” if the fl’s plans were thwarted by the male lead several times over, but this is just unnerving.
The male lead must obviously stalk the heroine all day long, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to “save” her like that, and of course it always happens just at the right moment as well…
