Dude, I’m not trying to be rude or anything, because I genuinely love this story, and it’s moving at a pretty fast pace, but some things just aren’t adding up. He claims he wants to live with her forever and is falling in love, which is sweet and all, but it’s bothering me that she’s still stuck living in that tiny, cramped, cold, and ugly af tower room. I mean, it’s literally worse than a maid’s quarters or something! Why hasn’t he made arrangements for her to live in that massive, luxurious af mansion where he resides, if he already has soft spot for her and found her cute? And worse, she has to climb up 100 or so stairs every time, still wearing those heavy dresses and jewelry. Is he still punishing her or making her feel like she’s nothing but a Duchess in name only? Bro, do something and give my girl a decent room or something befitting a Duchess! 😒
I was thinking the same thing… he doesn’t even need to assign her the duchess’ room yet (which I can understand, given it was his mother’s room), but at least give her a nice room in the manor! It makes no sense why she’s still staying in the *attic* of a tower, especially considering *why* they even put her there to begin with—to make her feel like a duchess in name only, abandoned and helpless. In any other story, the servants would look down on her and mistreat her because of this, though I’m glad we don’t have that drama here. This ML has zero emotional intelligence. 😒
