It seems to me, rather, a wholesome story of healing and finding family contrasted with the irony of the villains true thoughts and with plenty of slapstick comedy.
seems like you’re angry this isn’t the story you imagined it to be rather then the story it is. The characters also have some depth to them. Aris has survivor’s guilt, trust issues, etc, but is obviously trying (the chores that she does badly). Serena has a strong sense of loyalty, justice, and responsibility, but has had to live a harsh life shouldering that burden and feels wrong-footed in a domestic setting. The villain will never catch a break.
all three characters are insufferable. its quite sad to see an rather interesting storyline succumb to this flat writing with these 1 dimensional characters who only have one trait or thought. the little girl is by far the worst character and i dont even find the right words for this because it just makes me mad!
