   For those who says to jump some chapter to other I recommend you to read about villain’s past in Wiki
   To understand everything the mc says and do
   From being a skilled third rate villain going to different organization or talking about taking malice and easily learning thing down to first chapter introduction about the world has a special meaning

   I disagree with a lot of what the comment below says, but I’m only a few dozen chapters in, so that opinion may change.
   Haven’t run into pacing issues so far. We had the sort of “prologue” which was the hero training at the villain’s organization then timeskip to the next event in the future that had them both present. If it keeps cutting from location to location, I can imagine it’d be a pain, but going through years worth of her training or him doing grunt work isn’t very interesting.
   I think that the hero and villain have a lot of character, even if they don’t have a lot of depth. They’re meant to be archetypes because those sorts of characters work best in these sorts of parodies. He’s the cowardly villain with his own self-interests in mind. She’s the noble hero who’s determined to get stronger. What shines is really the interactions we get when those archetypes are played with each other in an unusual way. The villain is also the Wise mentor Figure™️(Think Reigen from Mob Psycho). The dramatic irony created from the contrast in his internal dialogue and the other characters is hilarious.
   The villain is always getting out of dangerous situations not through power but either by the skin of his teeth or by posturing/BS his opponents. Him going toe-to-toe with powerful characters so far is him 1. Faking his death to escape and then 2. Being out of the fight and then pretending to be merciful to his opponent (like he could still stand against them in the first place). He does a lot of running away.

   – Pacing is really really fast. You feel like you skipped a chapter or two, since it tries to introduce the main cast as soon as possible.
   – The characters are one-dimensional. Even a brick has more personality and characters don’t really get the opportunity to get fleshed out due to the pacing. You don’t know anything about the MC and the Hero, except for the latters background. The Demon has the most going for her which isn’t much.
   – The story… There might be one? It’s mini story-arcs that get loosely connected at the authors convenience. It boils down to MC failing at every of his plans or misunderstanding something, yet lady luck always rolls a 20 for him at it working out for him and rolls a 0 for his retirement plan.
   – The power-level for each character isn’t really laid out well. The main character calls himself a third-rate villain, yet can get toe-to-toe with most characters others would have problems with, while the Hero just kills everyone with no sweat.

   If you really like the concept of misunderstandings, like in “When the Villainess loves”, “The Eminence In Shadow”, “My Insanely Competent Underlings” or “I’m Not That Kind Of Talent”, you might enjoy this manhwa. Don’t misunderstand me, it’s trash, but there is this guilty pleasure feeling of reading stories like this.
