I think if I were the princess, I would have visited the emperor before going on this trip, to say goodbye to him and to encourage him to get well. Whilst doing so I would indirectly tell him just how dangerous the mission truely is and my intention to destroy the demon. At least then he may deduce Consort Go’s true nature and also see the princess’s resolve and strength.
