Am I the only one who sees where they’re coming from?
An outsider shows up (and the temple makes it clear they won’t be here long so no need to get friendly). Then she ignores your traditions/unspoken rules and basically just does what she wants (from their perspective). I mean, they were just worrying about ML losing out on sleep because of her. In their eyes, it could be like she put her own wants above his well-being. Otherwise then her presence alone interfered with his well-being because, without her, he’d be getting the sleep he needed.
Of course we know better because we see more of the story than we do. But to them, she got here and immediately began messing things up, disrespecting our leader (calling him by his name), disrespecting a religious figure by acting chummy.
Yes she’s being friendly and yes the people in question allowed it, but it just points out more and more how she “doesn’t belong” and, more to the point, isn’t trying to assimilate but rather make them accommodate her. I’d be more worried if she was your standard wilting violet FL but I’m certain she’ll win them over (but she can’t use the methods that worked back home).
It’s been said that these guys are loyal to Husa above all things. This is just putting their money where their mouth is.
