Unfortunately they are really hated by farmers here in Europe at the moment – especially those who breed sheep and/or goats. Instead of investing in shepherd dogs and fences, these farmers build large lobbies pressuring the EU for laws to be changed so that wolves can be killed in large quantities like in older times 🙁
