@FivesZeta consider what happens if this ISN’T a time paradox. she grows up and tells her family the only reason she didn’t kill herself as a child is because she had a strange vision of her loved ones appearing before her one day, telling her to stay strong, and that gave her just enough hope to stay alive and reach out for help when she needed it. her family recognizes “oh wait shit that actually is magic we can do”. what do you think would happen next? there’s nothing about this opener that doesn’t make sense
I’m going to be very very critical with this first chapter, and maybe it sounds pretty harsh too, but what the hell was all this for? Let’s see, it’s supposed to be the future, right? If they already know about her, if that ML is already going to marry her in that future, if literally in that future everything is already apparently resolved and fine… then what’s the purpose of contacting her? Doing it sooner? If it’s for that, I would understand a little, but if it’s literally going to lead to the same damn result, then there’s absolutely no point in doing it. And anyway, if she was alive and well in that future, why isn’t she there too?
That’s my opinion for the first chapter. It’s possible that it will end up being explained in the following ones, but, from my point of view, it feels pretty… stupid to start that way.
Emperor or not, interrupting her time with her family… Being weird about them getting together in the future while she’s still a kid. I’m not liking this ML :/

Can’t sell her off because she’s too young?? That’s the opposite of every human trafficking market I’ve ever heard of.
