Yup, it’s pretty reasonable tbh. A smart person might still have a lot of trouble talking about emotions. Just think about all the smart kids in school being bullied but unable to say anything to their parents. And she’s not an adult, she’s still a teenager.
Seems pretty reasonable to me she feels a debt for taking her in when she had nothing and was grieving and probably depressed let’s be real and loving her as their own, this is obviously unreasonable but emotions are like that, so she’s scared to tell them in the slight chance that they won’t believe her or take their son’s side.
Just think of telling your parents any secret as a child like if you had good parents it would probably be fine but it doesn’t make it any less hard (coming out as gay or saying you were being abused at.)
Really? Your aunt and uncle love you so much. Why not just tell them how much of an asshole their son is. Why not just record everything and show them? Riene is smarter than this. It just feels like forced drama.
