This story doesn’t value logic very much, but this chapter was especially ridiculous. Being kidnapped that quickly without anyone noticing, and then rescued after being miles ahead already (just one fork in the road and nobody could tell where this carriage would go), the kidnapper jumping out of the window … and then disppearing? Plus in the end even the coachman has somehow vanished into thin air and none of the pursuers saw where he went?
