That man killed the love of her life. He drove him to suicide. How is Hestia’s hatred unjustified? thank you @Th3Stuntman for voicing my exact thoughts. Helios KILLED Kael.
Let’s put this into some perspective shall we. Imagine someone you admire, not just admire and respect. But someone you so admired and respected, that you followed his entire life story. Even getting involved in the background just so you can watch and witness a beautiful love story. Only for when everything was done, the one person you loved the most. The one you admired for always being there for the person they themselves loved. The one that deserved a happily ever after the most. Was trampled on, disrespected, austrisized, their future stolen and went into a deep depression. All because of the actions of the “friends” he supported and should have supported him back even if it was just to repay the favor.
Now there is nothing you can do, you’re not famous, you’re not rich (at least anymore), you don’t have a way to help. All you can do is continue to read the newspapers about his various suicide attempts. Then you happen to stumble on him. You panic, you know everything he’s been through, the pain he must be suffering is something you probably can’t even imagine. So you try and help them, maybe, just maybe, this can help them. To show them, that there is one person who appreciated everything he did, even if it wasn’t for you. Only for you to discover his body and suicide note moments later, that brief moment of hope, shattered.
Tired, lonely, poor and ailing health. You begin to resent, you go to the temple. Not just to see if they could help with your illness, but to seek guidance. Only for them to deny you. It’s a slap to the face all over again since the woman that man loved is the representative of the church. Everything that has happened, all of the darkness wells up in you about how fate has played out and you lash out. Only to find you’ve woken up in the past, given the chance to save the most lovable man you’d ever known. You decide to help him recover and get revenge in the process for him. You convince yourself it’s for him, but it’s also for yourself. They didn’t just destroy 1 life with there love story, but 2. The more you find out the inside story, the more you see that poor man’s depression, the more angry you get at the unreasonableness of it all.
Then, the 1 thing, the single thing that had started the dominos of fate that brought that man to his death. Was sparked again, even if only briefly, directed at YOU. YOU, of all people. Oh you better believe I’d be pissed, I’d be fucking livid. I’d be looking for bricks. But for the sake of everything else and keeping the peace and not bringing up old wounds. You choose to forget it, to let it slide, because they realized their mistake in the moment. Only for that guy to bring it fucking up again, IN FRONT OF THE ONE PERSON HE SHOULDN’T.
So yeah, Hestia’s anger is more than justified. Her only problem, is in admitted that her revenge is as much for herself as Kael. Hes isn’t even aware that her anger isn’t only about the injustices Kael faced.

Furthermore, she witnessed Kael’s suicide in her past life. She converted the trauma of his suicide into hatred for Hélios and Diana. It makes perfect sense that she won’t be able to let go easily of this grudge

The fact that Helios’s face is also revealing his affection AND the telling Kael he wouldn’t “covet” what’s his, Hestia is angry. She doesn’t want Kael to be hurt again. She wants Helio to STFU and not look at her with such sad “unrequited-love” eyes.
