Some things are different from the novel, let’s go in order:
-Helios remarries about 1–2 weeks after his divorce from Diana. The new crown princess was chosen with the help of Hestia and Kaelus, and she falls in love with Helios. On the day of the wedding (or a few days later, I don’t quite remember), the new crown princess goes to visit Hestia, who couldn’t attend because her due date was near. The new crown princess talks to Hestia about her feelings for Helios but says she’s worried since she knows he still has feelings for Diana. Hestia advises her, and right after that, she suddenly goes into labor. Hestia and Kaelus’s first child is born, and 100 days later they take him to meet the emperor. A few days later, the emperor dies, Diana returns to the temple (and never appears again in the story), and the new crown princess becomes pregnant (some say this was the emperor’s gift).
* Then there’s a 10-year time skip. Hestia and her family move to Attica, and it is said that Helios had another child with the new crown princess (now empress). So, from oldest to youngest:
Kreos (H&K’s eldest son), Helios’s eldest son (I forgot his name), Leon (H&K’s second son), Caris (H&K’s youngest daughter), and Helios’s daughter (who is younger than Caris).
-The story ends during the trip to Attica, and Diana never appears again after the emperor’s death (in fact, none of this episode exists in the novel).
yeah i knew something felt different 😭 im pretty sure Hestia and Kaelus’ family trip was definitely in the novel, though i think it was the last thing that happened since iirc after that Hestia was pregnant again and the novel ended (i could be wrong though)
She no longer talks even towards a kid? Her crying has sfx so she’s not really mute. I guess it’s easier for her to cope if she doesn’t talk to anyone probing her.
Personally I’m not sympathetic either. Hes worked her butt off for real change and reform while she only preached about it over 2 lives. Talk is so cheap.
Will say I am glad that she can still live a decent modest life. Clearly a regretful one but it’s not the worst. Usually female antagonists get killed or r*ped
Mon dieu que ça devient de plus en plus ridicule. C’est si compliqué que de respecter l’histoire principale?
Et encore une fois l’adaptation prend trop de liberté par rapport à l’histoire originelle et se permet tout et n’importe quoi
I’m honestly not entirely sure why is she crying. Is she regretting her decisions? Did she realize what did she want to destroy? (Hestia and her achievements for the commoner’s health care etc) Or is she said that everything she had is gone forever? Her ex-husband is getting over her by remarrying, her friend has a wife, children and everyone praises them…. While she is stuck in a village where half the population badmouths her. What a life.

Is she still wishing for bad things? I hope the author doesn’t listen to her wishes. 🥴

Hubris brought her back down to a commoner’s life.
