Iam pretty sure the person bought his blood was also the person who poisoned him and they were buying the blood to check whether or not the poisoning process was going well. My current suspicions would be pointing at the king though I find it kinda dumb of the king at first to leave a potential rival for the throne alive iam pretty sure he left him alive to make a contract with the duchy to control Sillia and Hastred (if I spelled it right) and is now trying to kill himl not only because he is a potential threat-but the fact that he also has a lot of possessions he took from the royal family which could’ve been the kings and usually when a noble dies with nobody no close or distant relative with blood relations or ties then it is usually absorbed into the royal treasury and plus if he kills him now silently then all the wealth will be his since they have no descendants and if Sillia tries to inherit them then the King can just use the contract.
