Read up to chapter 8 and Camellia is less of a replacement as she is insurance. With the superlative apathy the marquess has for Camellia, she seems like she’d rather die than use Camellia as a replacement for Kieran. Just saying I misunderstood the situation and thought Camellia would be Kieran’s substitute, but she was actually just a pawn to ensure that the rest of nobility wouldn’t find fault in the family for only one heir that is sick. So basically, she’s posing as fake back up for Kieran to prevent the aristocracy from looking down on the family.
The older brother seems so sweet. If he remains like that and dies later I’ll definitely have at least a 30 minute crying session. Though I can’t help but wonder how he can be so jovial towards Camellia knowing that she’s his potential replacement. I can only assume that he feels different covertly. I just hope that he doesn’t harbor any ill feelings or intent against his sibling since a genuinely amiable relationship between the two siblings would add for some wholesome moments in the future!
