why do i have the feeling that the culprit is the godfather, and she needs to hold the investigation and let the ML’s parents die to save the ML and his sister. making the sister an exile to save her from danger. seeing different men to make secret investigation despite of ending the the ml’s parents’ case. deciding to divorce the ML so he and the children can leave the country, without the need for the FL to tell him everything.
I think Estella is trying to handle this in an immature way. It doesn’t seem like she’s trying to be manipulative just to be manipulative. It seems like she’s desperate to keep the marriage. She probably sent the sister off to protect her. I think Estella in the future knew what was going to happen and did her best, but it ended up causing so much damage. Thus the time travel was a second chance for her

Look, take it from someone whose parents were better off separated: using your kids, bringing them into an argument to try to prove you’re “right” or using them as an excuse/shield from your partner is an absolutely ghoulish move.
