Back in my middle school and high school days I was bullied often because of how my teeth grew in… (I had an overbite… but thats been resolved for years now). I understand how FL feels. If only partially… Talking to adults is hard about being bullied, because they usually just tell you to talk it out, ignore it, dont react to the bullies, etc. Parents (in my case) didnt do anything helpful either. Not only that but in my experience, being bullied and then tattling usually resulted in more and intense bullying… Forcing one to be silent, have no trust in talking to adults, and just hope the next round is tolerable. I hope that this FL becomes stronger or at least gets a friend that can back her up.
Bullying is very common in South Korea but I rarely hear or seen anything about it here in the Philippines. Hence I am lucky to never experience it. I believed that talking about it to a teacher or an adult is easier said than done. I think that bullying victims had a hard time to talk about it since they are afraid or had no idea how to talk about it.
… Why did we skip the teacher again? They can only do so much, but you want it on the record quick. That said, it definitely doesn’t look good that you don’t speak up at all.
