Are you guys serious ? The MC isn’t stupid and has all the reason in the world to stay :
– The world doesn’t know about surgery, he can’t just quit and say “Hey let me cut you open to treat you !”, it’s the middle ages, he will be condemn as a witch or a devil
– He doesn’t have any money, what, you want him to go door to door and heal people that way ? If I was him, I would stay, gain experience and a reputation using them, then get out.
– Also, yes he just got the knowledge but he didn’t do shit yet so what if he mess up ? He doesn’t have any backup, it’s nothing short of a suicide ! Would you quit your awful job right now if you discover an ability that make you money that all people think off as barbaric ? Hell no, you gain experience and a reputation THEN you quit (I repeat myself)
For those who are saying that he should just leave….yeah he probably can, but he can’t just open a new place to treat people if there’s already one nearby with a high reputation
The author made the main character stupid to the core.. he knew that surgery is a greater treatment than heal and yet he wants to stick his ass in that uselessly run down place as a healer.. If I get to have a SSS surgery skills I would’ve opened my own place to operate than stay in that rotten place and people take advantage of my skills.
