IDK man, if Maddie keeps up this “testing” behavior even after they actually start dating, I think he’d become numb to emotions altogether. The relationship probably would be too emotionally taxing for him.
Exactly this. Even in real life, when one partner keeps testing the other partner all the time, it becomes so emotionally draining for the other partner that one day he/she would end the relationship.
