I usually dislike commoner x noble pairings, specially if the commoner is the FL, because the gap in power is just unbearable and it’s tiring to go through the same misogynistic shit again and again… but that’s not what this is. I’m honestly impressed at how the author evened the power inbalance by making ML a huge target and FL basically a superhuman weapon. It’s fascinating, really. And even more so because Maddie is so shameless about everything, her own strenght and gray morals included. Genuinely a surprising pleasure to have found this, it’s quite the entertaining and interesting story. I simply love both the main characters and it’s a thrill to finally not be able to guess what will come next. The art is also very pretty, and although the translation isn’t always consistent, sometimes it’s weird, at least it’s readable and understandable, even good. Would recommend the read, it’s definitely worth your time.
