But in real life sending someone like Sisley to a labour camp also wouldn’t have had the effect Leila wanted. A pretty, manipulative woman like Sisley would likely have managed to seduce a guard and live in relative comfort, avoiding the harsh labour that Leila wanted for her.

I swear I didn’t read spoilers, it’s just that it’s always the same old plot – if villain doesn’t die in a absolute way (not by simply falling off a cliff, need to cut the head or something like that), 99.9% certain they’ll come back again to torment the main characters.
