    @busyplant Haha well said.
    Actually its not that he cannot do anything about it at all.
    Its just that there are many opposing factors to his position itself at the moment that he cannot tackle such problems anytime soon.
    As you have seen up until now, the nobles who are the pillars of power in an empire aren’t seeing him eye to eye. He cannot even choose his own aide freely without constantly being criticized by them at every turn.
    They even belittle him as far as calling him young, meaning immature and oblivious, right into his face!
    His situation is bad realistically speaking.
    He needs time to empower himself and solidify his position first and foremost.
    Otherwise, the moment those nobles feel the slightest of threat towards their assets by his decisions they would take any measure possible to take him down and put someone else in his place.
    Thats the bitter dark reality.
    Slavery has always been conducted by the aristocracy all throughout history.
    Its one of their most profitable businesses.
    Reading a few history books would reveal many dark aspects of this issue in the history of our world.
    Even in our today’s “modern” world there are far too many underworld businesses dealing with “modern slavery”, literally and subjectively, not to mention actual human trafficking. Be it for labour or s*x, there are already millions of people like us who are being treated this way as we speak.
    The corruption is simply too deeply rooted, no matter when or where it is.
    Its no easy feat to up root a centuries-old ancient tree and be done with it.
    .
    This young emperor here is no exception.
