Very confusing – read till chapter 10, not sure if I like it or not… 🙂
So we have a commoner hero FL, recognized in war vs some monster invasion via a barrier next door, who mysteriously looses all her ‘abilities’ (we don’t know which, seems to be swordsmenship buffed by some aura or magic stuff) on the spot upon a suggestion to her emperor, which he seemed to take as rude, presumably a punishment for her audacity (?).
She then vanishes for 5 years to live in a forest cabin, since she is ashamed (?) to have lost her whatever. Gets drunk, sleeps with king of that next door monster place.
Next she is ordered by that emperor to be a diplomat in that place… totally unprepred for the job, she gets a few how-to-do diplomacy lessons from random envoys of other countries and that one-night-stand-king (surprise, they meet again:) himself, who seems to have liked her for a long time, we don’t know why, yet.
Seems her country is the villainious one, rather than that next-door demon place.
So far, there is potential story-wise yet also a lot of questionmarks regarding the consistency of world building and storytelling – some due to translation, I guess

it’s not that bad. The Fl is strong but secretly kinda boring dense. the plot is not bad but it’s boring. the art is amazing.

6/10. – not my taste so dropped.

This is soooo gooood ✨️🖤 at first I wasn’t sure I liked the emperor but really.. he’s a wonderful green flag and FL is smart and capable, takes action, has agenda, vulnerabilities and personality. Plot is interesting and constructed well. Pacing is good. Overall, recommended 💯

I love this! The FL is awesome. The ML is the perfect combination of unhinged+green flag! Story is really interesting! It’s only up until Chapter 26, so I’m looking forward for more.
